Nathaniel R. Espino was admitted to the Philippine Bar in 2023. The focuses of his legal practice at VeraLaw are intellectual property and arbitration. Within the Intellectual Property Team he specializes in Trademark law, on a daily basis his tasks include drafting and reviewing search reports which are key step prior to the submission of a trademark application. Further he is responsible for drafting and responding to Office Actions of the Examiner. He works collaboratively with the rest of the Intellectual Property Team on any and all other proceedings relating to the Intellectual Property Office. His arbitration practice, finds him reviewing contracts or agreements, drafting comprehensive legal research reports, and attending hearings in coordination with the rest of the Dispute Resolution team.

He also is an avid writer and enjoys contributing articles to the firm’s website. His articles broadly fall under legal, regulatory updates and notable innovations in the Intellectual Property and Dispute Resolution realm.

He obtained his undergraduate degree in Legal Management from De La Salle University-Manila and earned his Juris Doctorate from the prestigious University of Asia and the Pacific. As a student, he formed part of the school’s Bar Preparation Committee and represented his cohort as the 4th Year Batch Representative. Outside the workplace, he is an avid fitness enthusiast and enjoys running, wall climbing and hiking. He ran his first marathon in February 2024. He is a passionate art lover; it was this interest that motivated him to explore the field of Intellectual Property at an early age.
